Only small part of the collection is displayed. The main
treasures are kept in funds. The collection contains 51560 exhibits nowadays.
The most valuable collections are the following: Akhmatova’s
library, Josef Brodsky’s library, I. Lesman’s collection of rare books and manuscripts
written by poets in 20th century, L. N. Gumilyov’s and his wife’s collection
of graphics and works of applied art, N. S. Nesmelov’s collection of graphics
(Leningrad views in 1930-1960).

NEW EXHIBITS
In 2004 memorial things of Lev Nikolayevich Gumilyov
were sent to the collection including not only personal things, documents and
autographs but also a unique memorial library with autographs of the prominent
scientists and cultural workers. The library consists of scientific editions,
Anna Akhmatova’s works, Nikolay Stepanovich Gumilyov’s works published in various
time and Lev Nikolayevich Gumilyov’s works.
