"AMERICAN STUDY OF JOSEF BRODSKY" (ground floor)
Watch films about Josef Brodsky, listen to tapes of Brodsky reading
his own poetry and the record of the legal process which took place in March 1964
in Leningrad, on the issue of "The parasite and the renegade", as it was dubbed
by the official press. A record of the process was made by the writer Frida Vigdorova
at the time. The text of the court sessions on Brodsky is read by a friend of Brodsky's,
the writer, and the historian and co-editor of the journal "Zvezda", Jacob Gordon.
VIDEO-ROOM (in the garden of the Fountain House)
Watch documentary films about Anna Akhmatova, Nikolai Gumilev,
Boris Pasternak, Marina Tsvetaeva, Sergei Dovlatov and others.
The films are shown in Russian and English. Entrance to the video-room
is included in the ticket to the museum. The video-room has the same opening
times as the museum.
